Anthurium in a Pot

Known for its glossy heart-shaped leaves and long-lasting blooms, Anthuriums are one of the easiest flowering indoor plants to grow. Their striking flowers can last for months, making them a popular choice for homes, offices and gifts.
Plant Care
Light – Prefers bright, indirect light. Avoid direct afternoon sun, which can scorch the leaves and flowers.
Watering – Water when the top few centimetres of soil feels dry. Anthuriums prefer lightly moist soil but do not like sitting in water.
Humidity – Enjoys higher humidity levels but adapts well to most indoor environments.
Temperature – Thrives in temperatures between 18°C and 28°C. Protect from cold drafts and temperatures below 15°C.
Feeding – Apply a liquid indoor plant fertiliser every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer to encourage healthy growth and flowering.
Growing Habit
Anthuriums are slow-growing, long-lived plants that can thrive for many years. Given a larger pot over time, they can grow into impressive feature plants. Flowering occurs most heavily during the warmer months but may continue throughout the year in bright indoor conditions.
